Join us for our celebration in the stunning Great Rift Valley of Kenya. We will have our reception on October 24th, 2026 at Great Rift Valley Lodge in Naivasha.

Guests are welcome from 2:30 PM, festivities run until 11 PM, and there will be an afterparty in a private cottage nearby. The wedding events start in the afternoon and the reception meal is dinner.
We would be honoured to spend this day in the warmth of our favorite people.
We are also organizing adventures before and after the wedding to spend relaxed, quality time with the guests who would like to enjoy a vacation.
The beautiful Great Rift Valley Lodge in Naivasha, Kenya is the location for our celebration. We took our first trip as a couple to Naivasha, and it felt just right to return to this special place for our wedding. We can’t wait for you to see why this breathtaking location feels like coming home.
The Great Rift Valley Lodge offers lovely rooms and cottages on the grounds. Rooms can be booked directly with the lodge, and if you mention that you are part of the group coming for Bart and Ru's wedding, a 5% discount will apply to your room booking.
The discount covers room bookings only — not chalets or independently owned properties on the estate, and not bookings made through platforms such as Booking.com.
You'll also find excellent accommodation options in the surrounding area, including independent housing on the lodge grounds, charming local lodges, and conveniently located Airbnbs throughout Naivasha.
The dress code is colourful garden party. Our wedding takes place outdoors, on the lawns of Great Rift Valley Lodge, with the Rift Valley stretching out behind us — so think polished and festive, but comfortable enough to walk on grass, sit in the sun and dance into the night.
Our colour palette runs from dark teal and burnt orange through deep red, golden yellow and sky blue. Flats, wedges and block heels work better than stilettos on grass, and evenings at 1,900 m cool down quickly, so bring a shawl, jacket or blazer.

We're organizing a group transfer from Nairobi to The Great Rift Valley Lodge, and a shared shuttle from Nairobi for the Mt Kenya foothills retreat. This is a convenient option for guests arriving at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. We'll provide specific dates, times, and booking information soon!
Children are absolutely welcome! We're planning a celebration that's enjoyable for the whole family. There will be activities and food options suitable for guests of all ages.
